Installing an unofficial firmware using TWRP recovery as an example:

Instructions:

• (It is advisable to make a backup copy of the current firmware to an external drive)
• Download the desired firmware to any external drive
• Reboot into recovery (more details in f.a.q.)
• Go to "Cleaning", then "Selective cleaning"
• Mark the Dalvik/ART Cache, Cache, Data and System sections, I recommend the device memory too
• Swipe from left to right on "Swipe to clean".
• Go to the main menu
• Go to "Installation", click on "Select drive" at the bottom and select USB-OTG
• Find our firmware previously uploaded to the external drive
• Swipe from left to right on "Swipe to flash"
• Reboot into the system

If conflicts occurred during the flashing, I recommend rolling back using the backup copy created earlier.
